PT School Adventures

Jordan applied for physical therapy school at 7 different programs last October.  It was quite the process to get all of the applications, essays, and forms out in time.  Once the applications were out, it was a waiting game.  We heard back from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, Pacific University, University of Montana, University of Utah, and University of Nevada Las Vegas in about January.  These 5 schools all wanted Jordan to come interview with them.  We were ecstatic to have that many schools offer to interview him and of course wanted to take advantage of them all.

Jordan interviewed at RMUoHP first and the interview went really well; he was offered a spot in the program about a week later.  He then flew up to Missoula to interview there.  That interview of course went well also and he was offered a spot just days later.  The following week he spent Thursday and Friday at the U of Utah which consisted of 3 different interviews.  The same Friday he flew up to Portland for an interview at Pacific the following day.  It sounded like quite the adventure as he took the transit system from place to place and was able to stay with his buddy Shawn.  Over the next two weeks he was offered a spot at both Pacific and the U of Utah.  We were hoping to just get into one school out of the seven but now we had to decide between 4!  Jordan still had one more interview to go at UNLV on Friday February 22nd.  Knowing that it would be very close to our baby's due date, Jordan accepted the interview but let them know of our situation.  As he left that Thursday night to head down to Cedar City, I had been having contractions over the last couple of days but for me, that had been quite normal.  Now this is another story in it's own (which will soon follow.)  But Jordan didn't end up going to Vegas at all, instead we had a baby on Friday February 22nd.  Unfortunately, even though Jordan emailed UNLV letting them know that I was going into labor, they wouldn't allow him to reschedule his interview.  In finding out that information and with lots of prayers and thoughts, we decided to stay in Utah.  Jordan accepted his spot in the PT program at the University of Utah. Our journey for the next three years begins in May.
