Style 1: Rope Braid
- Add a bit of water and spray gel to the crown section.
- Brush through the hair (I will link products below.)
- Start at the part line.
- Take a diagonal one inch section and split into two.
- Cross the front piece over top of the back piece.
- Add a one inch section of hair to the new front piece.
- Cross over top of the back piece.
- Add hair to the new front piece, smoothing as you go.
- Continue adding hair and crossing over top of the back.
- Be sure to hold the hair close to the head and angle your hands where you want the hair to go.
- When you reach an inch or two behind the opposite ear, take the remaining hair and secure with an elastic.
Style 2: Rope Braid in the Crown
- Start parallel to the part line.
- Take a 1 inch section of hair across the entire crown.
- Split the hair into two, a smaller section in the front and a bigger section in the back.
- Cross the front piece over top of the back piece.
- Add a one inch section of hair to the new front piece.
- Cross over top of the back piece.
- Add hair to the new front piece, smoothing as you go.
- Continue adding hair and crossing over top of the back until you have braided the desired amount in the crown section.
- Take both strands and twist towards the front and cross to the back a few times before you secure the hair with an elastic right next to the last hair you added in.
Style 3: Rope braid into a Top Knot
- Start with style number 2.
- Brush remaining hair up to the side next to the end of the rope braid.
- Add water and spray gel as needed to tame fly aways.
- Take two elastics and add our signature messy bun.
- Wrap the elastic around until it's the last time you will wrap it, but keep it on your fingers.
- Split the ponytail into two.
- Curl the top half up and hold with your finger.
- Curl the bottom half down and hold with your thumb.
- Grab the elastic and pull it over top of the buns.
- Adjust the buns by pulling on the ends of the hair.
- Take the ends and curl them back in towards the elastic.
- Stick them through the elastic.
- If the hair is long it may need to be pulled through the elastic all the way and then curled back into the elastic again.
- Repeat with all of the ends.
- Add a bow!
