This year Jordan and I went and picked out a tree instead of cutting one down (only because of lack of time). We still had a fun time with the Lind's picking out a tree. Of course the best part is when it is all decorated. Here are some pictures of the tree :)
Jordan and I spent our holiday in Missoula this year. We were bummed to not be able to see family. But we have enjoyed the time we had together. On Christmas Eve we roasted a turkey to have a yummy turkey dinner. Everything turned out! I was pleasantly surprised... the turkey was juicy and my rolls turned out! An article in the newspaper was written especially about Jordan in the Christmas Eve paper. It was good to read the nice things people have said about him. (Nice also to know that I'm not the only one that loves him in this town :) We took a little drive to look at Christmas lights that night. We tried to keep expectations low but were excited to see some crazy person dressed as the Grinch dancing outside of their house. We had a good laugh and it made the drive worth while. Finished the night off by reading out of Luke and watching The Nativity.

Christmas morning we slept in- to our surprise- and woke up to see that Santa had come! We were spoiled of course. Jordan got a new Nike backpack, wallet, jeans, plaid shirt, socks, a nice picture of the Salt Lake temple, and a few other things. I got some Nike running shoes, socks, books, perfume, yoga pants, leather gloves, and some other nik-naks. We both got some movies, books, blankets, pjs, cups/glasses, and Five Crowns card game. Love it all! Thanks to our parents, grandparents, and other relatives that gave us gifts. We are so blessed to have people in our lives that support us and help us to get the things that we need. Jordan thinks he was spoiled this year, but I just wanted to get him things he needed! (and he deserves it of course :)

We then were able to conference Skype Elder Izach with the Goates family. It was nice to be able to see him and hear how he is doing. He is a bit homesick... can't blame him there. But he is very positive about it all. He is in a small town with only a branch but excited to try and expand it as much as he can.
Church was the musical Christmas program and only sacrament. So afterwards we came home and had leftovers for lunch. We have spent the evening playing cards, watching movies, watching basketball, and chatting with family.
We are so grateful for our Savior's birth and that we are able to read the story to remind us of his love. We are grateful for his sacrifice for us and the opportunities it gives us.
