Palmyra

If you have not been to the Smith Farm in Palmyra, NY I highly recommend it. This was probably my favorite stop. It was green, beautiful, quiet, and we felt the spirit as we walked through the grove.

Smith Log Home

This is an actual tree that was in the Smith's yard at their frame home. It has some character, and I'm sure can tell some great stories.

We also stopped at the Hill Cumorah. Joseph Smith was told that the golden plates were there in the ground.

Our last stop in Palmyra was Grandin Print Shop where the Book of Mormon was first published.

Over all it was an afternoon well spent in Palmyra. I already believe in Joseph Smith and the truth of the Book of Mormon and the restoration of the gospel. But going to these places that we have heard about many times in church just helped strengthen that testimony. I am grateful that we have been able to take the time to see these church sites and spend time learning about them.
