Coming Home

Our final night with the Bigger family. We will never be able to repay them for all they sacrificed for us. We love them!

On the road again! Utah here we come!

 But first... NYC again

 Such an amazing and emotional visit to Ground Zero

Next we took the Staten Island ferry for a quick look at the Statue of Liberty

We took a small detour to Hershy, PA and had to stop at the factory! We stood in a 20 minute line for the ride to see the "chocolate cows" but mostly to get a free chocolate sample.

 We stayed the night in Hagerstown, MD. The hotel was not worth what ever we paid for it :)

We then drove to Louisville and stayed the night. The next morning we visited the famous Big Four Bridge. It started raining on us, but we walked our way across the state line into Indiana. When we crossed that line all of the sudden we heard classical music playing and we couldn't help but laugh since it was only playing in Indiana.

Next, we made our way through St Louis which was literally the most humidity and heat we had felt all summer. It was miserable. We walked 3 blocks to see the arch from 100 yards away, went into the visitors center, then walked right back to the car. In chatting with a few locals we found out that it was unusually hot and humid that day.

We stayed two nights in Lee's Summit, MO. I have a gracious aunt and uncle who let us stay and swim in their neighborhood pool.

 Our journey continued to Denver where we enjoyed an evening at Cherry Creek Reservoir

After two nights in Denver, we traveled home and of course had to get Cafe Rio for dinner :) Those beautiful mountains were missed! But, we had an awesome summer!
