Criss Crossed Double Pull Through Braid Update | Q's Hairdos

This tutorial has been requested many times for me to update. I hope this slower version helps show the steps a little easier!

1. Start with the crown section parted as a deep side part, all the way at the back of the crown and about an inch above the ear.
2. Secure the rest into a side ponytail.
3. Now split the crown section in half lengthwise.
4. Clip one side out of the way
5. Add spray gel as needed (linked below)
6. Section off 5 ponies that are about an inch long and secure each one in an elastic as you go.
7.  Repeat on the other section
8. Now that you have all 10 ponies sectioned off in two straight lines we will begin the pull through braid

Pull Through:

Keep these in mind:

first row (right side closest to face)
second row (left side)

1. Take the first ponytail and split it in half
2. Move the second pony through
3. Take the left half of the pony and clip it to the third pony in the second row
4. Clip the right half of the pony to the third pony on the first row.
5. Repeat on the opposite side
6. Take the first ponytail and split it in half
7. Take the right half of the pony and clip it to the third pony in the first row
8. Move the second pony through and clip out of the way
9. Clip the left half of the pony to the third pony second row 
10. Now secure the ponies together with an elastic as you remove the clip
11. Take the ponies that you clipped out of the way (the second pony) and now we will call these the first pony. 
12. Repeat the same process two more times.

The last pony is split in half and then secured to itself. Now pancake only the outer edge of each pull through.

If desired you can continue the pull through braid until it reaches the side ponytail as I did here. Continue by splitting the pony in half and clipping the bottom up out of the way, then secure it to itself with an elastic.

Secure both ponies to the main side ponytail.

If desired you can add a pull through braid here as well.

Split the pony in half then split the top in half again and pull the bottom half through.

Secure with an elastic and pancake. Repeat this process until the bottom. To finish off the braid I add another elastic over all of the hair in the same place as the last pull through elastic was put.
