- Start with damp hair and spray gel (which I will link below.)
- To easily part in the center down the back, put your finger at the nape of the neck
- Then take the comb and pull it from the top center down to your finger.
- Clip the left half out of the way.
- Brush and secure each pigtail with an elastic.
- On the right side, add an elastic about 2-3 inches down from the main pigtail elastic.
- From the back, put your finger through the middle of the bubble (between the two elastics) to split it in half.
- Now grab the ponytail through the middle and pull it through.
- Loosen the fishtail for the desired look.
- Now repeat the same steps by adding an elastic 2-3 inches down.
- Split it in half through the back and pull the ponytail through.
- Loosen the fishtail and repeat again until you have reached the end of the pigtail.
- In this style we did three fishtails on each side.
- Repeat on the left side!

Faux Fishtail Pigtails | Q's Hairdos
Such a cute style to add to your classic pigtails! These faux fishtails are easy and very quick compared to a regular fishtail braid.
