- Start near the part line in the crown section.
- Take a diagonal section about one inch and split into three.
- Start a dutch braid by crossing the side strand under the middle strand.
- Add hair to the side strand and then cross under the middle.
- Add hair to the opposite side and then cross under the middle.
- Continue the Dutch braid until you have braided the crown section.
- Secure with an elastic.
- Move this pony out of the way and secure the rest of the hair in a low side ponytail.
- Split the hair in the upper pony into three sections.
- Dampen the hair with water and add SoCozy Mousse to each section. (I will link the products I use below.)
- Braid each of the three sections to the end and secure with a small clip temporarily.
- Take one of the side braids and grab one piece of the elastic from the ponytail above.
- Pull the braid up and through the elastic, leaving a tiny bit of the braid in the elastic still to form a little bubble.
- Now repeat with the other side braid. Pulling it through the elastic but not all the way.
- Form a heart with the two side braids and secure them to the middle braid with an elastic.
- Comb through the bottom of the pony and secure the braids to the side ponytail.
- Curl the hair in the ponytail if desired. I will link my curling iron below.
