and Facebook Q's Hairdos (www.facebook.com/qshairdos)
- For this first style we started with slightly damp hair in the crown section and a deep side part.
- Part off the crown section and clip out of the way.
- Part the hair down the center back.
- Secure each side in an elastic to form the pigtails.
- Take the top section and starting with a diagonal one inch section, you will split the hair in two.
- Cross the front section over top of the back.
- Add a new one inch section to the front section and cross over top of the back section.
- Continue adding hair to the front and crossing over the back until you have no more hair to add.
- Now we will simply twist the sections to the right and cross to the left.
- Continue twisting and crossing until the rope braid reaches the right pigtail.
- Secure with an elastic to the pigtail.
- Add bows and curl the pigtails if desired.
- Here we used a flat iron which I will link below.
- These bows are from Ellas Beau Shop which I will also link below.
Style #2 Pigtails with Twists
- Starting with slightly damp hair and a center part all the way back to the nape of the neck.
- Section off the hair from the crown down to the back of the ear.
- Secure with an elastic and repeat on the opposite side.
- Secure the rest of the hair on the right side in and elastic to form the first pigtail, repeat on the left side.
- Take the left top ponytail and split in two.
- Add water and spray gel to tame flyaways.
- Twist the hair to the right and cross to the left.
- Continue to twist to the right and cross to the left until the twist reaches the pigtail on the opposite side.
- Secure the twist to the pigtail on the right side with and elastic.
- Repeat on the right side.
- Add water and spray gel, split the hair in half and twist to the right and cross to the left.
- Secure with an elastic to the left pigtail.
- Curl pigtails if desired. Bows are from Labelle Baby.
Style #3 Pigtails Crossed
- Again starting with slightly damp hair and a center part all the way back to the nape of the neck.
- Section off the hair from the crown down to the back of the ear.
- Secure with an elastic and repeat on the opposite side just as we did in the last style.
- Now we will be splitting the right side into 3 sections. So about 3 inches down we will part off the hair and secure with an elastic.
- Secure the rest of the hair in an elastic to form the pigtail.
- Repeat on the left side adding two more sections to make 6 sections total.
- Taking the top pony on the right side we will add water and spray gel.
- Comb the spray gel in and pull it towards the second pony on the left hand side.
- Secure this hair to the second pony with an elastic.
- Repeat on the left side.
- Secure the top left pony to the second pony on the right.
- Secure the second pony on the right to the bottom pony on the left.
- Secure the second pony on the left to the bottom pony on the right.
- Add more spray gel if needed and curl the pigtails if desired.
- These cute bows are also from Ellas Beau Shop.
