My go-to for a long time was this low messy bun. I loved to add different braids and twists to spice it up a bit. So this time I added a lace braid on top and a dutch braid right underneath it.

• To begin take a small section at the part line and split into three.
• Cross the right strand under the middle and the left strand under the middle
• Add a small section to the right strand and cross under the middle
• Add a small section to the left strand and cross under the middle
• Again add a small section to the right strand and cross under the middle
• and again add a small section to the left strand and cross under the middle
• At this point I stop adding hair to the right (or bottom) section
• Continue adding hair to the left (or top) section, making sure to angle the hair towards the back
• Add hair to about four more stitches then regular braid to the end and secure with an elastic
• Pancake for desired effect

Clip this braid on the other side of the head. Then start the dutch braid (which is exactly how you started the lace braid)

• Continue adding hair to each side until you reach behind the ear then regular braid to the end
• Secure with an elastic
• Pancake for desired effect

Pull all of the remaining hair into a low ponytail to make the messy bun.

• Pull a large elastic around the ponytail until it will be the last time you pull it through
• Keep hold of the elastic on your fingers of your right hand
• Using your left hand split the ponytail in half
• Curl the top half up and hold with your right hand
• Curl the bottom half down and hold with your right hand
• Pull the elastic over the hair that the right hand is holding
• Now tuck the remaining ends back into the elastic by curling them towards the bun

Take the bottom dutch braid and pull across the top of the messy bun. Tuck the end of the braid into the bottom of the messy bun. Make sure to stick it into the elastic as well. Then take the top lace braid and pull it across to sit above the dutch braid. Secure with a bobby pin, making sure to hide the bobby pin. Then tuck the end of the braid into the elastic of the messy bun. I like to loosen the hair in my crown section a bit. And adjust the bun to how you desire!
