- Start by sectioning off 5 ponies
- The first is in the crown section. We did this section more narrow so that the sides would have enough hair for those ponies.
- Secure the crown section with an elastic.
- Next split the hair down the middle in the back and clip the right section out of the way.
- Split the left section into two next to the ear.
- Secure each section with an elastic and repeat on the right side.
- Now that all 5 ponies are sectioned off, take the top pony and split in half.
- Add a rope twist to each half by spliting the section in half again then twisting the hair to the right and crossing to the left.
- Clip the left twist to the bottom left pony and the right twist to the bottom right pony.
- Split the left ponytail in half and add a rope twist to one section then secure it with an elastic to the right top pony.
- Add a rope twist to the right pony and secure it with the other rope twist to the bottom left pony.
- Rope twist the last section on the left side and secure it to the bottom right pony.
- Instead of curling the hair I like to twist it and let it air dry to give it a little wave.
- Add some ribbons and you're finished!

Star or Fourth of July Hairstyle | Q's Hairdos
We love this style for the 4th of July! It's also a great summer style to keep the hair out of the face and off of the neck. It looks more complicated than it is, follow along and I will show you how!
