Style #1- Rope Braid Pigtails
- Start with a side part
- Place a finger at the nape of the neck.
- Put the comb at the top of the crown and bring it down to the finger at the nap of the neck.
- This helps get the part line straight.
- Clip the left side out of the way.
- Start at the part line with a two inch diagonal section.
- Split into two
- Cross the front piece over top of the back piece
- Add a one inch section to the front piece and cross over top of the back piece.
- Continue adding a one inch section to the front piece and cross over the top until you have added all of the hair in one section.
- Secure with an elastic to form the pigtail.
- On the opposite side take another two inch section
- Split in half and then cross the front piece over top of the back piece
- It will go the opposite way with your hands.
- Add to the front piece and continue to cross over top of the back piece.
- Secure with an elastic at the base of the rope braid.
- Add bows
Style #2- Bubble Braid Pigtails
- Section the hair into pigtails.
- Secure the left pigtail with an elastic
- Secure the crown section with an elastic at the back corner of the section.
- Part off a two inch section just below the crown section and secure both together with an elastic at the bottom of the section about two inches under the first elastic.
- Gently pull at the hair between the two elastics.
- Repeat with another two inch section.
- Secure with an elastic two inches below the second elastic.
- Gently pulling at the hair as you go to form the bubbles between the elastics.
- Continue until all of the hair on the right side is secured in elastics.
- Now take an elastic and wrap the elastic around the ponytail about two inches from the last elastic.
- Gently form the bubble.
- Repeat until the end of the ponytail.
- Repeat on the opposite ponytail.
- Add bows!
Style #3- Topsy Tail Rope Twists
- Section the hair into pigtails.
- Secure the left pigtail with an elastic
- Secure the crown section with an elastic at the back corner of the section.
- Take the Topsy Tail tool and put the pointed end downwards through the elastic.
- Pull the ponytail through the loop and pull downwards until the looped end comes through.
- Secure the ponytail into the right side pigtail.
- Split the pigtail into two.
- Twist both sections to the right and cross to the left.
- Twist to the right, cross to the left.
- Continue until you reach the end then secure with an elastic.
- Repeat on the opposite pigtail.
- Gently tug at each section of the rope twist to get a fuller look.
- Add bows!
