Crown Braided Double Bun | Q's Hairdos | Tessi's Hairstyle

Find us on Instagram @teswood (www.instagram.com/teswood) and Facebook Q's Hairdos (www.facebook.com/qshairdos)

A fun up do style for a special occasion or any day at all!

  1. Start by using some dry shampoo (I will link my favorite below) to give texture and rid any excess oil.
  2. At the part line start a dutch braid (for a dutch braid tutorial you can find the link below as well)
  3. You will grab a section of hair and cross middle over top of the outside pieces
  4. Add to the side section and cross the middle section over the top
  5. Add to the other side and cross the middle over the top
  6. Continue this for about 4 or 5 stitches
  7. Be sure to turn your head so that the hair is braided where it needs to be, so that when you pull it back it doesn't bubble.
  8. Braid to the end and secure with an elastic.
  9. Now pancake for the desired effect by softly pulling on the outer edges of the braid.
  10. Take a small section on the other side and add a rope braid
  11. Split in two and cross one over the top then add into the front section
  12. Cross over again and add to the front section
  13. Continue with about 4 or 5 stitches
  14. Now twist each section and cross over each other to twist all the way to the end
  15. Secure with an elastic and pancake the rope braid.
  16. Take the braid and pull across the back to secure with two bobby pins
  17. Take the rope twist and tuck it under the braid, then secure with a bobby pin
  18. Take out the elastics
  19. At this point the style is pretty as is and you can just curl the remaining hair, or you can add the buns
  20. For the buns, split the hair in half and take a large elastic
  21. I will be doing two of my signature messy buns here, for a slower tutorial you can tap the Top Knot tutorial at the end of this video, or you can find the link below.
  22. Basically just split the hair in half and pull the elastic over then tuck the ends back in
  23. Adjust the hair by pulling at the ends to make them fluffier.
  24. I like to pull out a few pieces to frame my face and that's it!

Top Knot | Q's Hairdos

I have been asked many times how I do this top knot/messy bun on Quincy's hair. I use this same method on my hair and have since high school. There have been times when I have taken my hair out just to show friends how to do it! If you do it on your own hair I suggest using a regular hair tie. I hope you enjoy this quick tutorial!
